The Talwatte Collection
Sri Lankan modern and pre-modern painting, and the antiquarian books, maps and magazines of Ceylon. The printed material is a peer of the paintings here, not a sub-section, and each record carries its provenance where the evidence supports one.
The catalogue is being compiled. Records will carry the title, artist, date, medium, dimensions and inventory number, together with provenance, exhibition history and references, and a full description of each work.
In the meantime the writing discusses many of these works directly.
