The writing and the photography

The essays, artist profiles and other writing here, and the photographs made for the site, are Malaka Talwatte's and remain his copyright. You are welcome to read, study, quote and cite them, with attribution; every profile and essay carries the citation to use at its foot. Please do not republish a whole essay, or a photograph, elsewhere without written permission.

Works of art shown here

Many works reproduced on the site are in the public domain or are held by museums and other collections. Where a work is reproduced from an open source or an institution it is credited on the page, and any rights in it remain with the holder; works still in copyright are linked to the holder's record rather than reproduced.

Accuracy and corrections

The research is offered in good faith and revised as the record improves. If you find an error, or hold information that would correct or deepen an entry, Malaka would be glad to hear from you.
